Word Search Universe is a themed word hunt where you trace hidden words across the board in straight lines, sometimes backwards, sometimes diagonally, until the whole list is cleared. Controls Desktop: Click the first letter, hold, drag to the last letter, release to confirm Mobile: Press on the first letter, slide across the word, lift to confirm How boards usually work Each level gives you a word list tied to a theme like space, animals, food, travel. Words can run left-to-right, right-to-left, top-to-bottom, and diagonally. Some boards are relaxed, others add a timer or score based on speed and accuracy. Search habits that feel like “real” progress 1. Sweep rows first, then columns, then diagonals. Most puzzles hide a few easy horizontals to get you started. 2. Hunt the longest word on the list early. Long words are easier to spot and they remove a lot of letters from your mental clutter. 3. Circle rare letter pairs in your head. QU, PH, SH, CK, and double letters often give away a word instantly. 4. Use the theme to predict. If the pack is planets and you see M A R, your brain should already be checking for MARS or MERCURY. Mistakes that slow you down - Scanning randomly and re-reading the same area - Ignoring diagonals until the end, then getting stuck on two remaining words - Chasing short words first and leaving long ones to waste time later Quick challenge Clear one board using a strict pattern: left-to-right row sweep only, then top-to-bottom column sweep only, then diagonals.
