Description

This is the kind of puzzle where one “obvious” move can quietly ruin the whole board. Bus Jam Escape is a sliding-traffic logic game: you shift buses along their fixed directions to open exits, clear jams, and get every vehicle out without wasting moves. Controls Desktop: Click and drag buses to slide Mobile: Swipe buses to slide What you do - Slide vehicles only in their allowed direction (usually forward/back or left/right) - Create space so blocked buses can reach their exits - Use undo when a move doesn’t increase freedom - Clear the level by freeing the required buses (often all of them) Work backward from the exit, not from the mess The exit is the “truth” of the level. Start by asking: - which bus is closest to the exit but blocked? - what exact space does it need (one tile, two tiles)? Then solve only the moves that create that space. This prevents random shifting that just shuffles the jam. Use a “holding lane” on purpose You need one corridor that stays relatively empty so you can park pieces temporarily. Good holding lanes are: - long - close to the center - not directly in front of an exit If you fill every lane with tight packing, you lose the ability to reposition long buses. Avoid zero-value micro moves A move is “real” only if it does one of these: - opens a new tile of space - frees a blocked vehicle by giving it a new slide option - reveals a new blocking relationship near an exit If a move simply swaps where the same blockage sits, undo it quickly. Long buses are tools, not just obstacles Big vehicles can create structure: - use them to block off a lane so smaller cars don’t drift into your holding space - slide them to “cap” a corridor while you solve the exit chain Treat long buses like movable walls you control. Common mistakes - moving random vehicles because they can move - collapsing your last open lane and losing buffer space - pushing small cars into the same corridor you need for long buses - repeating back-and-forth moves that don’t unlock anything new Mini drill Try a level where you only allow yourself to move vehicles that are directly blocking the exit chain. If you can’t progress, that’s a signal you need to create a holding lane first, not shuffle the whole board. FAQ Why do I keep getting stuck near the end? You used up your holding lane. Rebuild open space near the center and retry the exit chain. Should I clear small cars first? Only if they unlock space for a key bus. Otherwise, they’re distraction. What’s the best way to improve? Work backward from the exit and undo any move that doesn’t increase options.
