Description

One safe step is never the problem—the problem is the next one, when traffic speeds up, logs drift out of sync, and you realize you moved without a plan. Road Crosser is a lane-hopping timing game in the classic “cross-the-road” style, where patience and pattern reading matter more than fast fingers. Controls Desktop: WASD or Arrow Keys Mobile: Swipe in the direction you want to move What you do - Hop one tile/lane at a time across roads, rivers, and tracks - Avoid cars, trains, and water hazards - Use moving platforms like logs when available - Collect coins/bonuses if your version includes them - Build a long streak by surviving multiple crossings The “watch one cycle” rule (how long streaks start) Before you commit to a dangerous section, take half a second to observe: - which lane is fastest - where the long gaps appear - whether traffic is offset or synchronized If you move blindly, you’ll arrive in the next lane at the exact wrong moment. Move in bursts, not singles One-step hopping is safe only when the next lane is also safe. A stronger habit: - wait for a clean gap - take 2–3 quick steps through multiple lanes while the gap is open This reduces time spent “exposed” in the middle. River sections: treat logs like moving lanes Logs are not safe just because you landed on one. Always check: - where the log is going next - whether it will carry you into the edge - if there’s a second log you can transfer to If you can’t see the next safe transfer, stay put and ride until you can. Coin discipline (don’t trade streak for scraps) Coins near the outer edge or near fast lanes are bait. Take coins only when: - the lane is already safe - you have a clear next step planned If a coin forces you to hesitate in a dangerous lane, skip it. Train tracks: commit or don’t go Tracks punish “half moves.” If you step onto a track zone: - cross it fully during a clear window - don’t stop on the rails unless the game clearly allows a safe tile Treat track crossings like a single action, not a series of timid hops. Common mistakes - hopping on impulse without reading patterns - stopping in the middle where multiple lanes threaten you - trusting logs without planning the next transfer - chasing coins that pull you into edge traps Mini drill Play three runs where you ignore all coins and only focus on burst movement through gaps. Your survival time usually jumps quickly. FAQ Why do I die right after a good move? You entered the next lane without checking its pattern. Watch one cycle first. Should I move fast or wait? Wait to read, then move fast in bursts. How do I handle logs safely? Ride until you can see a safe transfer. Don’t jump off blindly.
