Description

You’re not trying to “attach rope anywhere”—you’re trying to attach to the right point so your swing arc stays smooth and your speed grows instead of dying. The best swings feel like you’re surfing the skyline: attach high, drop into speed, release on the forward climb, repeat. Controls Desktop: Mouse and keyboard Mobile: Touch controls What you do - Move forward through the city - Fire a grappling line to an anchor point - Swing around buildings and release at the right time - Hit checkpoints and avoid falling Some versions add jump or dash, but the core skill is still timing. Attach slightly ahead and above (the rule that keeps speed) If you grapple too low or too close, you create a steep arc that kills momentum. A strong attach point is: - above your hero - slightly ahead of your travel direction This creates a longer, smoother swing where you can build speed safely. Release late enough to gain speed, early enough to clear hazards A clean release happens when you are rising forward after the lowest point of the swing. If you release too early, you pop upward with no forward drive. If you release too late, you slam into a wall or lose your line. The “feel” to chase is: drop first, then release on the climb. Corner turns without collisions When a building corner is tight: - attach to a higher anchor than you think you need - allow a deeper drop to gain speed - release earlier than normal to avoid scraping the wall Most crashes happen because players attach too low and swing into the corner face. Use jump or dash as correction, not a main move If your version has extra movement: - jump is for clearing a ledge when your release was slightly low - dash is for recovering forward speed after a short swing If you spam jump/dash, you create awkward arcs and lose rhythm. Common mistakes - grappling to low anchors and stalling out - releasing too early because you panic near walls - chaining tiny swings instead of one clean long arc - focusing on the rope instead of your next landing line Mini drill Do five runs where you only grapple to anchors above roof height. It teaches you longer arcs and smoother releases. FAQ Why do I keep losing speed? Your anchors are too low or too close. Attach higher and slightly ahead. Why do I crash on corners? You’re swinging into the wall face. Attach higher and release earlier. How do I go farther? Build rhythm: long arc, late drop, release on forward climb, repeat.
